Vermont + Wedding

What can I say about Vermont? It's gorgeous and so much fun! So different than almost anything out West. And, to top off my excitement about going somewhere I've never been, we were going to a wedding (Shane's brother Brian)! The travel part was less than desirable, basically 24 hours without any sleep, but when we arrived to Shane's dad's house in Plattsburgh, NY, just gorgeous!

We had a busy couple of days ahead of us, since Shane was the best man. We made our way to Vermont and I couldn't help but be so excited about this gorgeous new place.  Being a native Arizonan, I'm always in awe of how green and lush other places can be. The wedding was so much fun and the wedding cake was delicious. You know you always go for the cake!

It was still a little too early for the overwhelming colors of fall in Vermont, but since it's one of my absolute favorite things I made it happen.  I can't wait to go back for our fall wedding reception with Shane's family.

After the wedding festivities were over, we did a little exploring on our way back.  I wanted to stop at ALL of the orchards and partake in the cider donuts and fresh apple cider.  Shane had a laugh at my excitement.  Since he's from Plattsburgh all of this was nothing new to him, but he enjoyed how excited I was and showed me around his hometown.  And of course, he died laughing when I screamed out, "Maple Fields," twenty million times, because it's just a convenience store. I was hoping it was filled with delicious maple treats, ha ha.

After we made our way back from Vermont, we visited with family and explored some more and ate MORE donuts and maple things.  I think we shipped about 10 bottles of maple syrup home!  I love small towns and it was so much fun being somewhere new.  We're so looking forward to our next trip, we have about a year to wait and we're so excited.
