Desert Rain Creosote Bundles

Cleanse my soul and make me whole again. The sweet smell after a desert rain is what I remember from my childhood. We wanted to share one of our favorite things about living in the desert and show you how to make your own desert rain Creosote bundle.  They're perfect for the shower or hanging in your car, and they make amazing gifts for those that might be missing their desert home.  

For the bundles, you'll need

Creosote - If you're in the Southwest, you'll find it in abundance.  If not, you can purchase our hand harvested bundles in the shop here.

I know this might sound silly to some, but if you'll be harvesting your own, make sure to ask for the plants permission to give an offering and give thanks for its gift.  We share this Earth with all living things and it's important to make sure we give it respect and gratitude.

You'll need to trim 5-6 pieces to make one bundle, just take what you need to make a bundle from the plant. Fold your bundle in half and wrap with your hemp cord.  

After you've wrapped your bundle tie the cord off, making sure to leave enough to make a loop for easy hanging.  To make it look pretty, trim any excess from the bottom.  You can save any leaves that you've trimmed or that have fallen off to make an amazing salve (will be sharing this soon).  Hang in your shower or in your car. You'll get the best smell from your Creosote bundle when the air is warm and moist.
