Wedding + The Road
Shane and I really thought hard about what we wanted our wedding to look like. We both weren't overly excited about having a traditional wedding from the start and eloping just kind of seemed natural to us. We're getting married and for us, it's not all about the hoopla of what centerpieces we had, who was sitting next to who, not to mention the astronomical price tag of a modern wedding. We're simple, understated and off the beaten path. As much as we wanted to run off into the bright lights of Vegas, it was also so important to us to have our closest family and friends celebrate this once in a lifetime event with us. But what was that going to look like? That, we were so unsure of. We dipped our toes into wedding planning and were just not excited about spending all that money on something we didn't even get to keep.
